Junior campuses:

Book club loop orders close on Monday 17th February.

SSC: 

On Tuesday 18th February we will be holding our first book club. Anyone is welcome to join, and it will be an 'any book' structure, meaning we will discuss themes of the book being read, rather than reading all the same book. Our first theme is 'the book I can't live without'.

Music Performance Welcome Event - Mini Golf

We were excited to welcome both new and returning Music Performance students back for the year in a social setting! This event was designed for all choir and band students in Grades 5-12. Over 50 students had a fantastic time working on a different set of skills.

JC Parent/Teacher Interviews - Open Today Friday 14 February

Parent/Teacher Interviews will be open for bookings today Friday 14 February at 3pm and close on Friday 28 February at 8am!

We will be holding our Parent/Teacher Interviews during Weeks 6 and 7 this term. There will be interviews conducted before and after school from Monday 3 March until Friday 14 March. All bookings will be made through .

JC Year 6 GRIP Student Leadership Conference - Tuesday 25 February

Our Year 6 Students will be heading to the GRIP Student Leadership Conference at Highfields Cultural Centre on Tuesday 25 February.  The students will leave the conference with a clear vision and solid understanding of ideas for their time as student leaders and role models throughout the year.

Year 3 and 5 Immersion Programs

This week, students in the Year 3 and 5 immersion programs received their instruments.

Year 3 students can opt to learn the violin, viola, or cello, whereas Year 5 students have the choice of flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, trombone, or glockenspiel.

This program runs for one year and includes small group lessons as well as ensemble experiences.

Beyond just learning their instruments, students will also develop skills in instrument maintenance, responsibility, music reading, and time management.

Looking ahead: After completing the program, students can continue to learn their instrument and have the opportunity to join one of our many co-curricular ensembles at Concordia 女女视频 College, which perform regularly at various events throughout the year.

JC Helpers Needed to Cover Readers

The Junior College has recently purchased some new decodable readers for our Lower Primary classes. We are putting a call out to anyone who would love to lend a hand with contacting these readers. Please contact our HSC Reception or WSC Reception if you are at a loose end and would love to help out.

WSC Drive Through Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

Thank you for your patience in the Drive Through in the mornings and afternoons. We know it can be an extremely busy time. Please see the Drive Through Guidelines below:

Morning Drive Through:

  • Drive Through in the morning will be via our Yaldwyn Street Drive Through only. This will be for all students. Students are not able to get out of vehicles until a staff member is on duty at 8.00am.
  • The Shed Drive through is NOT to be used in the mornings. This is for parking purposes only.

 Afternoon Drive Through will be divided across the following two locations:

  • Stedman - Afternoon pick up will be via The Shed Drive Through. - Please enter by turning left into The Shed Drive Through from Warwick Street and exiting by turning left onto Warwick Street again.
  • Altus and Kessler - Students in Altus and Kessler will be in the Drive Through off Yaldwyn Street. - Please enter the Drive Through by turning left on Yaldwyn Street and exit by turning left onto Warwick Street.

Things to note:

  • Afternoon Drive Through will be supervised until 3.30pm each day.
  • If your children are not in the Drive Through when you arrive, you will be asked to do a lap so we can keep the flow of traffic moving.
  • Please be respectful of the requests of staff who are on duty.
  • If you are a new family or have a new vehicle, please use our Look Out Cards. These are helpful to staff in recognising vehicles in the Drive Through.

If you have any further questions about our Drive Through procedure, please don鈥檛 hesitate to contact Reception.

Two Maths teachers are available in the library on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to support students with Maths if needed. Sessions run from 3:30 to 4:30 PM.
