Monday 7 September - Friday 11 September

From the Head of College

From the Head of College

Dear Parents and Caregivers

It鈥檚 my pleasure to welcome back every family to Term 4. I trust that you have had a relaxing and safe term break. The student body needs to be commended on how quickly they have settled back into school routines this week.

Thank you for your support in ensuring that your student[s] presents well in their Day and Formal Uniform both at and away from school as per the full uniform requirements. We have emphasised the need for them to be great ambassadors for Concordia and their family when they are out and about. We recently had a new family who will take up an enrolment for their students in 2025, mention the outstanding presentation of our students in town as one of the reasons for choosing Concordia.

Welcome to Term 4

I write this article in Adelaide, where I am presently attending the General Pastors Conference and Synod of the 女女视频 Church of Australia. We are meeting on the grounds of one Concordia 女女视频 College in Adelaide, the very school our own Concordia took its name from and who supplied the very first principal for our College as well as a number of teachers over the years.

Community News

From the Director of Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

Where has the time gone? It feels like only yesterday we were drawing to a close the 2023 school year and here we are already beginning the final term of 2024. Term 4 is such a positive time of year where students reach the culmination of a year鈥檚 worth of hard work and effort. Throughout this term, we have the chance to acknowledge our students for their achievements and successes through Recognition and Awards evenings. On Thursday 10 October, we have the opportunity to acknowledge our Year 12s at the Recognition and Graduation Evening at the Empire Theatre. Toward the end of the term on 18 November, we will then acknowledge our Years 6 鈥 11 students at our annual Presentation Evening. These are just some of the many exciting events that are scheduled in Term 4.

From the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement

Welcome back to Term 4, it鈥檚 hard to believe that we are quickly heading towards the end of the 2024 school year.

To reduce the volume of emails hitting your inbox, starting from this term, The Week Ahead newsletter will no longer be sent via email. However, you can access this information every Friday on the Concordia 女女视频 College App and our website as usual. We hope that this change will make it easier for you to stay informed while managing your email load.

This term also marks the beginning of rehearsals for the much-anticipated Concordia 女女视频 College Musical, "Anastasia." We are thrilled to see our talented students bringing this extraordinary story to life, and we look forward to their performances.

Project Based Learning at Concordia

Junior College

From the Junior College Directors of Campus

Welcome to Term 4! As we begin the final stretch of the school year, it is an exciting time filled with opportunities for growth, reflection, and celebration. This term offers a chance to consolidate everything we have learned so far while setting new goals for this term. Whether your child is focused on academics, extracurricular activities, or building friendships, let us embrace this term with energy and determination. Together, we can make Term 4 a memorable and rewarding experience!

We do have many opportunities this term and would like to highlight a few to ensure they are on your calendar.

JC Christmas for the Bush

It has become a tradition in our Junior College to support the amazing work of Care Outreach by contributing to their Christmas For The Bush program.

Care Outreach has been supporting outback families for over 30 years. Christmas for the Bush is an annual event, delivering Christmas hampers and gifts to struggling families in rural and remote regions. Farming families work incredibly hard. Loss of income, isolation and depression are some of the issues these families deal with on a daily basis. Care Outreach works to bring encouragement, support and hope to farming families in need.

In Term 4, the Junior College is again supporting Care Outreach with their Christmas for the Bush appeal. You can help by donating...

  • Non-perishable food and Christmas treats
  • Toys and family gifts
  • Toiletries
  • Pre-paid visa cards

Donation baskets have been placed in every classroom. 100% goes to our farmers! For specific needs, please visit and click on the 'Christmas for the Bush' tab.

Care Outreach are excited to have our support again this year, and we look forward to assisting their Christmas for the Bush campaign. Thank you for considering this worthwhile appeal.

Christmas for the Bush will conclude with a Junior College Chapel Service lead by our Year 1 students in the SSC Chapel on Friday 1 November at 9.30am. Everyone is invited to come along.

JC Prep Pevan & Sarah Concert Excursion - Wednesday 23 October

On Wednesday 23 October we will be going on an excursion to The Empire Theatre to watch Pevan & Sarah.

Pevan and Sarah are a subscription service that create educational content to engage children in early learning. They sing songs and create games that we use daily in our classroom for Math, English and Daily transitions. We were very excited to see that they were coming to Toowoomba in person.

Please for all the details and provide permission in Parent Lounge if you haven't already done so.

Boarding News

Hello to all our families

Welcome back to all our students, Term 4, wow it鈥檚 hard to believe it鈥檚 here already.

On behalf of our Tutors and Supervisors, I would like to pass on that everyone has readjusted to Boarding life with minimal fuss.

Our Googa students were all very excited when they departed on Tuesday morning. Four weeks seems a long time but it will go quickly, and they will all have a blast. Pens and paper out Mums and Dads- this may be one of the very few times you will send or receive a written letter from form children. Treasure it.

Welcome from the Leadership Team
