Concordia ŮŮÊÓƵ College student Lisa Richards Making Waves on National Swimming Stage

Sunday 22 Dec

Concordia ŮŮÊÓƵ College is thrilled to announce the exceptional achievement of our talented swimmer, Lisa Richards, at the School Sport Australia 2023 Secondary Swimming Championships. With her performance in the U13 Girls 50m backstroke national finals, Lisa finished 6th place in Australia.

Throughout the past year, Lisa has consistently proven her outstanding abilities, earning five state medals.

Lisa's achievements could be the start of a pathway towards greatness, with her sights set competing in the Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, showcasing her skills on an international stage.

Swimming serves as more than just a hobby for Lisa; it provides her with joy, excitement, and a sense of fulfillment. However, she recognises the challenges that come with the sport. From the pressure of competing on carnival days to the demanding training schedule, up and coming swimmers must overcome both physical and mental obstacles.

Lisa's success in the pool can be in part attributed to unwavering support from her coaches, teammates, and family.

Concordia ŮŮÊÓƵ College is immensely proud to have Lisa as part of our swimming team, the Turbo Jets.

Earlier this year, the Concordia ŮŮÊÓƵ College clinched a rare double in the process of claiming city dominance in the pool during the QCIS interschool swimming championships. The Concordia Turbo Jets swim team topped both the aggregate and the percentage points – winning the overall Darling Downs school title.

Concordia ŮŮÊÓƵ College would also like to acknowledge the efforts of our dedicated coaching staff at TJs Swim, who have played an integral role in Lisa's development as a swimmer.

We look forward to witnessing her make waves on the national and international stage.

Embrace the Possibilities!
